Dermoid Cyst (Hair growing from the eyeball) in dogs

Dermoid cysts are congenital growths usu- ally found at the outer corners of the eyes. These cysts contain hair that often appears to be growing out of the surface of the eye. The dermoid is not a malignant tumor, but it should be removed because of the irritating effect of the hair. This is most often seen in German Shepherd Dogs but is not a common problem.
